The historic section of the Nusle Brewery has been granted final building approval

The Nusle Brewery development by Penta Real Estate is one of the most significant residential projects in Prague in recent years, and RUBY Project Management was involved from the very beginning to the final completion.

After successfully delivering the northern part of the site, where we provided Construction Management for the new residential buildings, we have now completed the southern part of the project – a phase that brought a completely different set of challenges.

The southern section focused on the conversion and reconstruction of the historic buildings of the former Nusle Brewery. With a history dating back to the 17th century, many of these buildings are protected heritage structures. All works therefore had to be carried out with the utmost respect for the original architecture and in close cooperation with conservation authorities.

Our role was to ensure a smooth construction process even in such a demanding environment. Thanks to the expertise and experience of our colleagues Lukáš Hirt, Martin Toman and Michal Vízek, the project was successfully delivered despite numerous technical and structural challenges typical of inner-city heritage revitalisation.

Following the successful final building approval, the project has now moved into the phase of technical handover to future residents, who can enter their new homes for the first time. At the same time, new public spaces have been opened, including a footbridge connecting the site with its surroundings and a passage through a historic building that naturally links the area and brings new life to the site.

Working on a project that sensitively combines historical heritage with contemporary living was a valuable experience for us, and we are proud to have contributed to its successful delivery.
