Expansion of the Emission Centre with climate chamber

Last year, RUBY Project Management completed the design works on a unique project for ŠKODA AUTO, which is an extension of an existing Emission Centre which now includes a climate chamber with altitude simulation. The Emission Centre building is located in the Česana South complex, in close proximity to the historical center of Mladá Boleslav.

This is an important project that combines a wide range of ŠKODA vehicle testing capabilities within a single facility. The most interesting of these is the climate chamber with internal dimensions of 24x7x10m (l/w/h), which is equipped with technology to provide a vacuum for simulating up to 5,500m above sea level, a dynamometer to simulate driving a car at speeds of up to 250km/h, and equipment to provide various types of climatic environments, such as sunshine, rain, wind, etc.

Our RUBY design team prepared the complete documentation for this project, from the joint permit to the construction. All documentation was prepared using the BIM method, including coordination with the external designers of the specialist technology and equipment installed to ensure the required vacuum, climatic conditions and dynamometer.

In 2022, ŠKODA AUTO successfully launched this exceptional project, which is unparalleled in Europe, and RUBY Project Management is continues on the project as the on-site copyright supervisor.
